2008 Pink Ribbon House
The Pink Ribbon House is a unique fundraising project that brings together the most talented and dedicated professionals to create a house that will showcase the latest trends in home building and design, while increasing awareness of breast cancer and raising funds for research.
Covington Builders, specializing in inner-loop luxury homes, will feature the latest trends in custom home building and design. The Tuscan-style house will boast nearly 6,297 square feet of living space with a master bedroom downstairs and three other en-suite bedrooms, four and twohalf baths, finished quarters and fantastic pool and outdoor living spaces. Houston’s most notable interior designers will decorate the show house, located at 5316 Longmont in Tanglewood.
The home will make its debut at a special preview party in the spring of 2008, and the public will be invited to tour the home,
enjoy the outstanding design concepts and receive lifesaving information on breast cancer research and detection. Additional funds raised from sponsors, individual donations and donations of products and services in the building of the home will benefit the Breast Center at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, furthering breast cancer research and community access to breast cancer screening and treatment.
The center currently features the only completely digital mammography center in the world, and its researchers are leading the way toward breakthroughs in breast cancer prevention therapies. Go to www.bcm.edu/development/pinkribbon for more information.
